The Seahawks could not stand for their playoff streak ending at five seasons a couple years ago, so they decided to surprise many and go 10-6 to make the postseason as an NFC wild-card team last season.
Seattle is riding seven staight winning seasons with Russell Wilson as its starting quarterback. The team will do its best to keep that up with the eighth weakest schedule in 2019 based on combined opponents’ records (.479) from last season. The Seahawks schedule for 2019, in addition to the usual NFC West rivalry matchups, features games against teams from the AFC North and NFC South.

Toughest tests: Because they are situated in the Pacific Northwest and are facing AFC North teams in 2019, the Seahawks have tricky, long road trips to Cleveland and Pittsburgh. Make that two times in Pennsylvania with an uncomfortable matchup against the Eagles in Philadelphia, too.
The Seahawks also need to figure out the Rams after being swept by the NFC West and conference champions last season. Seattle’s rebuilding defense has to deal with many top quarterbacks and diverse offenses in 2019.
Biggest breaks: Playing the entire NFC South and getting the Saints away from the Superdome (and in front of the Seahawks’ own loud crowd) help to balance things out. Atlanta and Carolina provide some road relief on the intraconference schedule, as well.
Overall, the Seahawks are facing only four playoff teams from last season.
Bottom line: The Seahawks should do most of their damage at home and struggle a little on the road. Wilson will help them win a few games as underdogs.
That will be enough to get above .500 again, but it might not be enough to get in the playoffs behind the Rams. Record prediction: 9-7
