NFL teams on social media get creative every year when the league schedule is announced, and the Cardinals were no exception. But Arizona’s creativity couldn’t hide the fact the team is dealing with a quarterback crisis at the moment.

As you can see, there is no quarterback in this video.

Josh Rosen was the team’s first-round draft pick a year ago, taken 10th overall. But the team now has a new coaching staff in place and head coach Kliff Kingsbury really, really likes Kyler Murray. A video in October had Kingsbury saying of Murray, “I would take him with the first pick of the draft if I could.”

Of course, Kingsbury now has the first pick of the draft and many believe the Cardinals are going to use that selection on Murray.

So with all of this drama going on, people noticed when Rosen wasn’t present in the Cardinals’ video. Other stars were noticeable, however. You had running back David Johnson, future Hall of Fame receiver Larry Fitzgerald, up-and-coming receiver Christian Kirk, outside linebacker Chandler Jones and cornerback Patrick Peterson.

But no quarterback.

Is there anything to read into here, or are we just going full conspiracy theory? It definitely seems like an intentional exclusion. Even though Arizona is trying its best not to tip its hat on its quarterback plan for the future, there’s been way too much smoke for there not to be fire here.
