Robert Lewandowski equalled a scoring record set by his absent manager Jupp Heynckes as Bayern Munich beat Schalke to go 18 points clear at the top.
The Pole has scored in the first 11 home games of the Bundesliga season, something only Heynckes has done, for Borussia Monchengladbach in 1972-73.
Heynckes was bed-ridden with flu as Bayern won their 12th game in a row.
Schalke’s Franco di Santo levelled after Lewandowski’s opener with Thomas Muller scoring the winner.
Lewandowski tapped in Bayern’s first after Muller’s 20-yard shot was parried straight to him by Ralf Fahrmann.
Di Santo equalised from 14 yards, but Muller beat the keeper at his near post from a tight angle for the winner.
Earlier, Michy Batshuayi scored his third goal in his second game for third-placed Borussia Dortmund as they beat Hamburg 2-0.
