Artie Burns gave Steelers fans a massive scare during practice Wednesday when he went down with a non-contact injury, but he had good news Thursday.
The Steelers cornerback told the triblive.com he simply hyperextended his knee and expects to play Sunday’s divisional-round playoff game.
Burns has played in every game since he was drafted by the Steelers in the first round in 2016. He is slated to start alongside Joe Haden when Pittsburgh takes on Jacksonville at Heinz Field at 1:05 p.m. ET.
In case the 22-year-old does have problems with his knee, though, Pittsburgh has a capable backup in Cam Sutton, who started six games for the Steelers when Haden was out with a fractured fibula in the middle of the season.
